Manna Food Box Delivery Program

At Senior Connection, we recognize that there are several issues that impede food security for many of our community seniors. Senior Connection has a long-standing partnership with Manna Food Center to provide wholesome and nutritious food through our Manna Box Delivery Program. The Manna Box Delivery Program ensures that a Manna food box is automatically delivered to participant clients every month. The goal of this program is to remove some of those impediments and provide that security.

What is a Manna Food Box?

Manna Food Center is a local food bank that opened its doors in 1983, and strives to eliminate hunger through food distribution (the “Manna Box”) and education. The box contains pantry staples (such as beans, pasta, canned vegetables, and canned fruits), fresh fruits and vegetables, and a bag of frozen meat. Participants can also request a vegetarian or diabetic box. Each box contains enough food for one month, per household and can weigh up to 70 pounds. To learn more about Manna, click HERE.

Am I eligible to receive a Manna Box Delivery through Senior Connection?

You are eligible if you are 60+ years old, live in Montgomery County, and are a client of Senior Connection and of Manna.

I am not a client of Senior Connection, but want to receive a Manna Box Delivery. What should I do?

To become a Senior Connection client, please complete and submit our application form. Once you submit the application, you will receive a confirmation email and someone from our office will contact you within 7-10 business days.

I am not a client of Manna. What should I do?

Our office can assist with that as well! Call our office and a staff member will assist you with everything you need to get set up with Manna.

How does this all work?

Once you are set up as a client of Senior Connection and of Manna (if you are not already), a recurring monthly delivery date for your Manna Box will be established and communicated to you. You do not need to call Senior Connection or Manna every month to request a box and delivery. Our staff will take care of everything from there. For your first delivery, our driver will call you in advance to discuss delivery logistics.
