Senior Connection/Village Rides Volunteer Open Houses and Training Sessions January-June 2015

The Senior Connection is holding Open Houses for those interested in finding out more information about becoming a transportation, shopper or bill payer program volunteer.  The Senior Connection, in partnership with the Jewish Council on the Aging, is also holding new volunteer training sessions twice monthly.  One training session is scheduled during the day and one in the evening.  Contact Mary Murphy at 301-942-1049 for further details.  Please see link below for the Open House and Training schedule.

Helping Hands in Maryland: AARP MD and The Senior Connection

Mission Statement

The mission of The Senior Connection of Montgomery County, Inc. is to provide mobility by linking older adults to services and resources so they can live as independently as possible while remaining integral members of our community.

Volunteers help adults, ages 60 for shopping program and 62 for transportation and older, maintain their independence and stay in their own homes for as long as it is safe to do so. Primary services include:

While The Senior Connection does not charge for services, Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Aging and Disability; private foundations; faith communities; corporations; and individuals, value and support our efforts.
