Volunteer Recognition

Volunteers are The Senior Connection’s “MOST VALUABLE ASSET”. Any attempt to recognize the contributions of the volunteers is inadequate to express the gratitude from the board, the staff and the individuals who are constantly praising their good deeds. That being said, each year, during National Volunteer Recognition Week, The Senior Connection invites its volunteers to a special recognition event and tries to make the day special in some way. For a number of years now, the volunteers have been invited to a luncheon with a variety of entertainment offerings. Each year, based on volunteer hours served, one volunteer is selected as “Volunteer of the Year” and is recognized with a special Governor’s Citation for his or her service to seniors in Montgomery County.
